Who We Are
Founded nationally in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, today's ASME is a professional organization of over 120,000 engineers. ASME focuses on technical, educational and research issues of the mechanical engineering and technology community.
The NMSU student branch of ASME offers students the chance to belong to a national Mechanical Engineering organization and to become more involved with the Mechanical Engineering program at NMSU. ASME allows students to compete in design competitions, go on engineering related field trips, and meet & interact with many other students in the Mechanical Engineering program.
